In the Works

What we're working toward.

AetherCache is still early. Here's the direction active development is headed in — not a committed timeline, just an honest look at what's on the table.

Nothing here is scheduled or guaranteed — priorities shift as real usage turns up new problems. Check Release Notes for what's actually shipped.
◎

Smarter scanning

  • Feeding several cards through Auto-Scan in quick succession, without waiting for each one to resolve
  • Splitting a single whole-binder-page photo into individual cards automatically
  • Tap-to-focus and a calibration mode for locking in camera settings per session
  • A review queue for uncertain scans, instead of silently skipping them
⊞

Easier browsing

  • Searching and filtering across every column in the card table, not just a few
  • Bulk selection on mobile for managing many cards at once
↻

Smoother sync

  • Importing a collection from outside sources, like a TCGplayer export, not just another AetherCache device
  • Keeping more than one cloud account connected and remembered at once
  • A smarter photo cache so cloud-synced sessions are lighter on mobile data
▣

Android, for real

  • A proper signed distribution and update path for Android, beyond the manual sideload it's on today
